China -The Great Wall at Jinshanling.
As the first flakes of snow fall, the Great Wall plunges into a surreal beauty. The Great Wall of China was built est to west in order to protect the country against the invasions of the Eurasian nomadic tribes. Jinshanling lays only eight kilometres away from the Bakeshiying Township in Luanping County (Hebei Province). During wintertime, the Wall is surrounded by complete silence. All around it is the Eurasian steppe.
