Bagan Archeological Site at dawn
Bagan Archeological Zone is to Myanmar what Angkor Wat is to Cambodia. It used to be the capital city of the Kingdom of Pagan, between the XI and the XIII century. The plain lays in the centre of the country and it is today home to over 2,200 temples, monasteries, and pagodas.
