QUARANTINE is a web episode documentary that follows the story of a couple who, on the day of Italy’s lockdown as a response to covid-19 epidemic, finds itself from a long-distance relationship to living together 24/7. Using the “narrative excuse” of their relationship the documentary explores what the epidemic will change and what won’t change at all.

Elena Brunello is a documentary author born in 1987. She lives in Milan, where she works in the film industry. Her documentary on climate change, The Climate Limbo, was selected at several film festivals around the world and screened in more than 20 countries. She is passionate about movies, arts, short stories, tarot cards, and nature. She is a head-in-the-clouds kind of person and she believes in magic.  She is not Jewish.

Nathan Shammah is a quantum physicist born in 1987. In the last 4 years, he has been living in Tokyo, working for a famous science research institute. On March 7th 2020, he moves back to Milan to live with Elena and to start his new job. He is passionate about science, technology, economics, politics, and movies. He is a very rational and analytical person and does not believe what he cannot prove. He is Jewish.
